Vietnam automotive software industry expects to see robust growth from 2020 to 2026. However, it is reported that the country is lacking of human resources to meet the market need.

According to Prof Dr Ho Tu Bao of the Vietnam Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics, the automotive software industry has huge demand for engineers who can apply artificial intelligence (AI). Despite 51,114 IT students graduating from universities every year, Vietnam automotive software engineers’s number is still falling short of market demand.

The government is trying to solve the problem by investing more on Vietnam’s digital transformation. The annual revenue invested of Vietnam in digitization and automation is reported to be 2-3 times higher than the worlds’ average. That revenue will be divided in R&D, manufacturing, and mostly prioritised, training.

There are 149 universities, 412 colleges that train Information Technology in the country, most of which partner up with well-known tech enterprises (both domestically and globally) to improve and advance their training programs. Also, it is suggested that universities should even open courses for engineers who want to improve themselves. This offers students opportunities to exchange knowledge, experience with experts, scholars, who have been in the industry long enough.

Rightful investment and effort into IT training help tackle the problem of human resources at the moment. Abundant and well-trained automotive software engineers will be the key to drive Vietnam through the rapid growth of its automotive software industry.

AI can prevent Covid-19 in the future

Epidemic such as Covid-19 is difficult to control when not having solutions right away. However, in the future, AI is expected to make it easier.
These days, it might be too late for this new technology to prevent the Covid-19 outbreak. Otherwise, we can believe in AI ability for the next potential outbreaks in the future. AI is excellent in connecting data to detect what is the next effective method or experiment.
Back to the early period of the Covid-19, Big data only had a little information of the initial emerging of virus Covid-19 in China. No important information was a huge challenge to Big data. However, researchers’ genome creating of the new virus in only few weeks for the first reported case was very promising because it showed that we got more information than 2 months ago.
Andrew Hopkins, CEO of Excientia, an AI start-up in Britain, one of specialists is studying AI to look for medicine for some diseases. Mr. Hopkins said that the process for new methods started from theory to clinical trials at least 18 to 24 months by AI. Exscientia designed a new compound for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) that was tested in the laboratory less than 1 year of the research phase. This speed is five times faster than the average ones.
Healx, an AI biotechnology company in Cambridge (England), also used machine learning to find new usage for existing medicines.
Besides, every company has a group of anthropologists working with AI in process instruction. Specifically, Exscientia provides algorithms to find the compound while Healx gives AI’s predictions to analysts to pick a suitable solution.
AI has already supplied medicine for some popular diseases. According to Bloomberg, on February 20th, a group of researchers at Massachusetts Technology Institution used AI to detect a new antibiotic compound that could kill a series of complicated bacteria.
However, the biggest challenge of AI is clinical trial. Every kind of medicine needs to be tested strictly before filling prescriptions for patients. This process requires a lot of time until receiving authorities’ agreement.
Another difficulty is talented staff. “It is hard to find someone who has both AI and biology knowledge. In addition, it is not easy for big companies to make decision”, Irina Haivas, a partner of Atomico and a former surgeon at Healx said.

Promising future for Vietnam automotive software industry

Automotive software industry in Vietnam expects to see huge growth in the next 10 years.

Source: Commnunity.arm
Automotive software industry is the industry in which software is used to control function and enhance performance of the device. Technology advancement is reported to help the global automotive market see robust growth from 2020 to 2026. Vietnam’s automotive software industry development will be in line with the global one.

With sales of light vehicles growing from about 95 million to over 106 million, Vietnam Automotive is expected to experience strong growth between 2019 and 2025. Vietnam automotive market outlook report carried out in 2019 states that the country is among top 5 Asia nations in terms of fast growing automotive industry.

This is resulted from that up to now, the country has taken good advantages of its self-resources, coming from abundant labor supply, R&D activities to geographic benefit and government assistance.

As for authority support, Vietnam government has made it clear that automotive sector will be one of the country’s main source of revenue, as well as promotes the flow of FDIs in the automotive industry. Also, the government has prioritized to attract more FDIs flow into domestic automotive industry. Foreign manufacturers plan to expand their production based in Vietnam.

Meanwhile, Vietnam automotive software companies, as the ones at the national front, plays important role in making the country become one of the region's most promising and fast-growing markets for automobiles. As for now, domestic technology companies has continuously adapted trends to improve their performance and services.

The field’s trends in this year continue to focus on platform-based services, improved products for electrification, and introducing automation at almost every level. Innovative technology is required in this next phase of automotive software industry development. Vietnam automotive software companies take innovation as an important key, as they know without enough cutting-edge solutions, this can restrict automotive market growth in the foreseeable future.

5G - A great leap forward from previous telecom generations

Telecom networks has undergone a long journey with much changes, and now human is about to witness its peak with its fifth generation – 5G.
Source: Lifewire
The first generation of telecom networks, which was introduced in 1980s, was still the analog standard. A decade after, 2G was developed, marking the beginning of digital cellular age. 3G then founded with much better speed compared to its ancestors (reached speeds from 200 kbps to several megabits per second). The development from 3G to 4G was considered technology’s huge breakthrough, as the latter enhance telecommunication speed to hundreds of megabits, even reach gigabits. Nevertheless, this has yet been a peak in telecom network development. Since founded, 5G was beyond comparison, as it excelled in all terms, from speed to capacity, compared to the previous generations.

5G, with its speed up to 100 gigabits per second can be a hundred times faster than the current 4G. This results in 5G solving many issues remained in 4G. For instance, 4G helps people in real-time communication, but in such field that needs absolute accuracy like medical, 4G application is likely to be risky, severely, lives-related risks. Hence, 5G with its faster data transmit and lower latency, disruption is an adequate solution for the existing problems. Distant surgery, which is considered impossible not long ago, thanks to 5G, now is having chances to be applied in reality. The fifth generation of telecom network has the ability to simultaneously connect a much larger number of devices, therefore enhancing IoT technology. Besides, the technology is likely to turn smartphone industry over a new leaf. 5G makes it possible to provide faster mobile browsing, calls as well as video calls in higher speed while still maintain their resolution quality.

We have seen a great leap forward from 4G to 5G. 5G is, undoubtedly, a breakthrough in the current stage of development. This, however, suggests the question that how people can make use of all of 5G potential. Without enough exploitation, investment as well as effort, people cannot ensure that whether 5G development is on the right track.

Last chance to learn how AI impacts the globe – Now or never

Kết quả hình ảnh cho ai impact the world

Have you ever noticed how Artificial Intelligence would change the way the economy functions? If you ever witnessed the recent changes that occurred while running a business or carrying out a mission. If you feel like, you're behind the technology, and you're afraid you could lose your job, then...
Just as the Internet takes over all industries by storm, Artificial Intelligence may have the same effect. AI's desire to take over the work of all is becoming increasingly evident as recent breakthroughs in AI have drawn much public attention. As AI advances, some believe it will take over large sectors of manual workforce increasingly and eventually, according to some research.
But the people who might potentially lose their job are the ones who are unwilling to change. These are the people who are afraid to know and to do something different. Search Results Eric Hoffer once said: "The beginners inherit the earth in times of transition, while the learned are perfectly equipped to deal with an environment that no longer exists."
Looking at AI through the prism of business skills is important to our community, rather than their own insecurities and shortcomings. Note "The glass is half not half empty" AI will narrowly endorse three major impacts:

1.       Affect to Global Economy:
The global economy has been expected to rise to $13 trillion by 2030, and AI is seen by many as an engine of innovation and economic growth. It will increase the efficiency of the tasks carried out and enhance the decision-making process significantly by analyzing tons of data.
Some assume it may increase inequality, push down wages, and reduce the tax base. While these assumptions are real, there is no consensus as to whether the associated risks can materialize, and to what degree.

2.     Effect on humans:
Since the digital revolution, people have been automating almost all the monotonous tasks, which have improved our economy's productivity and innovation.
However, the whole point of the Artificial Intelligence implementation is to function in collective cooperation. People and AI should work hand in hand without delegating 100% of the task to AI. In short, the integration of machines and humans requires a continuous learning process; we can't get benefit from Artificial Intelligence without having to share inputs and information. After that human output will increase exponentially.
But let's take a look at the concept of how artificial intelligence can have an impact on people psychologically:

·       They can understand your feelings:
Human nature is complex, and some of human-led behaviors are often illogical. Some of the day-to-day choices made by humans are influenced by his or her past experience, schooling, thought, and upbringing.
But the findings will always be correct with the convergence of psychology with Artificial Intelligence. Since psychology requires gathering tons and tons of data from different studies on different individuals, communities and populations, which increases the likelihood of drawing the correct conclusion. Yet, if human beings were given the same to process the data, it would inevitably lead to the wrong or biased conclusion. Through the prism of our own understanding, i.e. interpretation, we humans tend to reach conclusions.

·       It can support you in everyday tasks:
Gaining detailed insights has become simple with the advent of Artificial Intelligence. For example, when people are more nervous, information used on StressSense is used to monitor the time and help companies avoid these stressful circumstances. There are many AI-embedded instruments that evaluate physical activity patterns and sleep patterns to help people improve their quality of life.

3.       Impact on the climate:
There are millions of AI impacts on Mother Earth, but the major ones that have the ability to influence supply and demand for resources, there are also some externalities to humans including Paradigm change in how humans consider how our actions affect the climate and how they handle those impacts. With that said, here are the big changers of the game that will improve dramatically:
-          Preventing deforestation
-          Natural resources
-          Sustainable development
-          Agriculture
-          Coastal and Ocean Security
-          Climate forecasts
-          Habitats and wildlife
-          Calamity predictions

Current Impression:
Artificial Intelligence would certainly dramatically change the economy just as the Internet did. But it must be implemented in a way that does not give away all leverage over the activities, such as access to bad information. Mind that this is a program that Man-kind invented but not the other way around. There are both positive and negative impacts at the end of the day; however we should try to eliminate the bad by the good.
